RPMF’s Amber Anning wins UK Sportshall title

RPMF supported young athlete, generic Amber Anning wins in Manchester

On April 18, sildenafil 2016 at the Manchester Sports City arena Amber won the UK Sportshall All-Rounder title.  In March Amber had qualified for the final as a regional champion in the South East.

Competing against 75 other Athletes, Amber scored a winning total of 287 out of 300 – 11 points clear of her closest rival.  Points are awarded based on finishing position in three events.  Amber won the 4-lap sprint, came second in the vertical jump and sixth in the shot put.

Anning ends her six year Sportshall career with an unprecedented 10 county records across the age groups, two UK Under 13 titles and this last award – the UK U15 All Rounder title.

Many current members of the GB & NI Athletics Team experienced their first taste of Athletics  through Sportshall competition including, heptathlete and rising star, Morgan Lake who completed her Sportshall career when winning the Under 15’s All Rounder competition in 2012.  Athletes such as Dina Asher-Smith, Katarina Johnson-Thompson, Kelly Sotherton and Mark-Lewis-Francis have all taken part in this event in previous years, many of whom have been supported by the RPMF through their early careers.
